2023 Fall into Christmas Revue

 It just doesn’t get better than KGM’s Fall into Christmas celebration! 

The great food, beautiful smiles, and fantastic fellowship made this event one to remember. – or in this case, replay. 

But we know that, at the end of the day, you - our incredible KGM partners - weren’t there for any of that. Not really. It was all about bringing the love of Jesus – both practically with goats and chickens – and eternally with the gospel message, to rural India’s moms, dads, widows, and children. It was about changing lives – and you surely are!

Thank you for proving AGAIN the amazing difference we can make when we humble ourselves, collectively roll up our sleeves, and let the Lord work through us.

Celebrating KGM Local Business Partners

Kerusomen owes an enormous debt of gratitude to Dotti Ackerman and the ladies of Friends Needing Friends Widow Ministry in Florida and New Jersey. It was Dotti and her team who first championed KGM's widows in India 12 years ago. Since then, FNF has partnered faithfully to expand that ministry year after year after year. They've provided emergency food, medicine, skills training, income producing goats and chickens and Bible Story Scarves to at-risk India widows. But most of all they've sent their love and their prayers to these precious women every single day.

Happy 35th Anniversary Friends Needing Friends! Your amazing ministry to widows here, in India, and all around the globe through your wonderful FNF Blog, has touched the lives of countless widows for God's glory for decades. We are greatly honored to serve with you and play a small part in your ministry. We love each and every one of you dearly and can never, ever thank you enough.

Every June we celebrate International Widow’s Day. This year we invite you to help create awareness about the situation of widows across the world by sharing this quiz. 

We believe that believers everywhere
have a role to play in caring for widows. 

Widowhood makes everyday challenges harder than they need to be, stealing confidence, safe community, and hope for the future. But with access to Godly support and fellowship programs, everything changes – especially for women in India.

HONOR A WIDOW ON INTERNATIONAL WIDOWS DAY

Often family and friends gather around a grieving woman for a short period, then go on with their lives. But International Widow's Day reminds us that widowhood doesn’t have an expiration date. Women who've lost their spouse need our ongoing love, help, and support. 

Many times a simple acknowledgement that you haven't forgotten their loss or their husband, will help them heal and remind them that you want to stay connected and be a part of their life. In her book entitled, From One Widow to Another, Miriam Neff lists seven to-do tips that can help us to help and encourage widows. Here's tip number four:

"Do refer to our husband’s acts or words – serious or humorous. We are so comforted by knowing our husband has not been forgotten..."

Sending a card in memory of her husband on International Widows Day is a  beautiful way to show you remember a widow's husband and are thinking of her with compassion and respect.
