L-U-N-C-H Spells HOPE in Haiti

Haiti School Girls + Lunch.jpg

For I was hungry and YOU GAVE me something to eat.
 Matthew 25:35
When lunch is your only meal of the day, and it's served at school, you gladly go to school. Education means everything to the poverty stricken villagers of NW Haiti. A free lunch for the kids mean the parents can afford to let them go, rather than putting them to work. A picture is worth a thousand words so we're excited to bring you this amazing video of a mission trip to build one of the schools that now serves the lunches you provide to its students. While well-made, this video from our partner, Living Water Ministries, is no glitzy promo clip. You will feel every bump on the long ride to the remote village these children call home, see their faces, and get a glimpse of their hopes and dreams through the eyes and words of the mission team's English teacher and a native pastor. It’s a trip of transformation and love you’ll never forget as you witness Jesus create a miracle with a little school and a 10 cent lunch.

  Mission Impossible?

Reaching the Unreached in India

460,000 villages in India have no known Christian presence. The woman pictured above is from the Adi Andhra unreached people group, who live in several states in India. These are the unreached. Unlike your lost co-worker at the office, they don't have a colleague, friend, neighbor, or family member to share the Gospel with them. Worse, they don't have a missionary or church planter on the way to them. With all our technology, wealth, and passion for the lost, there are still millions who don't know a single Christian who can share with them the Good News of Jesus. Take a peek at this must-see video that highlights India. It's a vitally important reality check that examines the priorities of Global Church outreach in an easy to follow, visual format.  As you watch, keep in mind this sobering fact: 22,500 people in India will die today.  Most of them never had a chance to know Christ because we never reached them.  Are we OK with this?

Five Punjabi Pastors Travel Over 2,000 Miles To Attend

God is growing Punjab churches!  Pastor Saha and his wife Anju work tirelessly to reach the lost in India. Despite growing persecution, Punjabi pastors have been planting seeds and God has blessed and expanded their ministry to include 326 believers worshiping in 5 KGM churches. These five new pastors will grow the church planting work in the Punjab tribal belts (the least reached populations) of India. While Pastor Saha strives for vibrant and rapid church multiplication, he is equally faithful to provide pastoral training. His goal is to ensure that future KGM churches are planted and led by Believers well equipped to faithfully preach the Word of God with the heart of God, creating strong and sustainable churches and movements in India. In this update, Pastor Saha provides pictures of the training in action, the subjects covered, and prayer requests for this vitally important work in India.

 Learning / Resources

From time to time we come across excellent resources during our research. When we do, we will make them available to our readers on our new Learning/ Resources page.

Not a college or college credit course, the MBC is a non-denominational Bible study that has been translated into 48 languages, including three of the majority languages in India.  That caught our eye as a potential valuable resource for our Indian readers. The course is completely free of charge to any user and has audio and printed lessons plus study guides for free download.

Around 70% of the world's population and 2.7 billion in unreached people groups communicate mainly through oral means. Because of its audio format, MBC has proven to be very effective among oral learners - those who cannot read or write or prefer to learn by listening. Illiteracy was not an obstacle in Jesus' day and should not be an obstacle today. The majority of the people who first shared and spread the Gospel, could not read or write.

The 219 lessons make up a 4 year, one lesson per week, synthetic study of the entire Old and New Testaments and more. The materials are being used by churches internationally for evangelism, nurturing Believer Bible studies, as well as for pastor and lay person training. We have provided a video overview of the course and its origin plus a link to MBC where you can listen to several sample lessons. Let us know what you think.  We love and value your feedback.
